Entering the service locations for clients

For service work, you can set up a table of the different locations that you must service.

To enter service locations for a client:

  1. Open 3-6 Receivable Clients.
  2. On the Options menu, click Locations.
  3. In the Client Locations window:

    1. In the Location# text box, enter the number you want to assign the client location.
    2. In the Name text box, enter a brief description of the location.
    3. In the Address 1, Address 2, City, State, and Zip text boxes, enter the address.
    4. In the Phone# text box, enter the telephone number for the location.
    5. In the Contact text box, enter the name of the person to contact at the location.
    6. In the Area drop-down, select the client region.
    7. In the Map Locate text box, enter the map coordinates.
    8. In the Cross Street text box, enter the name of the nearest cross street.
    9. In the Tax District text box, enter the number of the tax district within which the location falls.
    10. (Optional) In the User Defined text box, enter the user-defined information as necessary.
  4. Repeat step 3 for each location.
  5. Select File > Save.

Tip: You can also use the Add Service Location window, available from the 11-2 Work Orders/Invoices/Credits window, to add a new service location for a client.
